Fair booking rules for busy pickleball courts
When every morning slot is gone by 6 a.m., the rules decide who plays. A few that work.
Pickleball courts fill faster than any other amenity. Without limits, the same few households hold every prime slot.
Limit bookings held at once
Allow each household one or two upcoming court bookings. When one is played, they can book another. This alone spreads prime times across many more players.
Shorten how far ahead people can book
A seven-day window keeps the calendar open to residents who don’t plan weeks out. Leagues and clinics can be held as community events instead.
Use a short time grid
Ninety-minute slots starting on the half hour fit doubles play and leave room for more groups each day.
Let courts confirm on their own
Nobody on the board should approve a 9 a.m. court time. Set courts to confirm instantly and keep approval for the clubhouse.
